FHS Program Philosophy

The Mission of the Fauquier High School Baseball program is to provide high level baseball instruction and skill development utilizing baseball as a platform to teach the core life values of hard work, dedication, teamwork, accountability and leadership.

Program Philosophy:

Ownership of the program starts with the athlete. Be accountable for results!

Success is earned not given! Take personal ownership of academics and athletics and turn potential into ability!

Hard work and dedication creates success. Hard work beats talent, when talent doesn’t work as hard!

Thursday Practice

Come prepared with boots in your bat bag as we are taking the tarp off the field tomorrow.  We will meet at the field at 3.  Our indoor gym time is 430-600.  Practice will end at 600, but weather will dictate how much we stay out in the cage after we remove the tarp.

Booster Basket Reminder

As a reminder, our Booster rep is collecting $10 per family for the Baseball Silent Auction Basket for the $10,000 Dinner Dance.  Please get your families contribution to Kyle K. or Cheryl K. Each team is responsible for providing a basket for auction.  Thanks

Great Start

For the limited practice time the FHS V and JV teams demonstrated that hard work DOES pay off by performing well above their competition.  Looks like we are going to have to continue to produce more with less, until the weather turns.

Thanks to everyone who helped put the tarp on the IF.  I'll follow with a post to schedule the removal of snow from said tarp, sometime today or tomorrow.
