Program Philosophy:

Ownership of the program starts with the athlete. Be accountable for results!

Success is earned not given! Take personal ownership of academics and athletics and turn potential into ability!

Hard work and dedication creates success. Hard work beats talent, when talent doesn’t work as hard!

Fauquier Ends 4 Game Losing Streak

Fauquier's Varsity Baseball team learned Wednesday night that some times ending a losing streak is more mental than physical.  The Falcon's demonstrated their mental resolve in a wild 10-6 win in 8 innings at Briar Woods Thursday night.  Fauquier carried a lead most of the game but Briar Woods tied it at 4 on a three run home run in the bottom of the 6th.  In the top of the 7th the Falcon's scored one to go up 5-4.  In the bottom of the 7th Briar Woods had tied the game at 5 and with 1 out and runners on second and third it looked as though Fauquier may blow another lead.  With the infield and outfield in for a play at the plate a fly ball was hit to Junior Max Winn in right.  Winn made the catch and came up throwing to home, delivering a strike to Jordan Taylor for the final out of the inning, sending the game into extra innings.  In the top of the 8th Falcon's batted around, scoring 5 to salt away the exciting 10-6 victory.

Fauquier concludes their regular season with three consecutive District games, beginning with Brentsville on Tuesday night at home.  Tuesday is Fauquier's Senior night, so come out and honor our graduating players, Jordan Taylor, Robbie King, TJ Soaper and Aiden Hanlan.  Festivities will start around 5:45.
